BESPOKE PROGRAMMES
Our bespoke leadership programmes are designed to help you close your particular capability and culture gaps, and are delivered in a way that will land with your leaders.
Bespoke programmes work well for populations of relatively senior leaders who want to learn together and usually in person. Such programmes offer the opportunity for leaders not only to learn, question, challenge and discuss the new content with faculty (Elsbeth and her hand-picked network of fellow “pr-academics”); but also to spend time getting to know each other. This means leaders leave these bespoke programmes with:
new knowledge and a plan for how they will apply it in their organisation or team;
a deep network of colleagues who’ve become friends; and
a common language and set of tools which, because enough people in your organisation have the same language and tools, will become a shared lexicon and way of doing things within the organisation. Experience tells us that this drives much greater alignment, and therefore much greater traction and change, within the organisation.
Our process for designing and delivering bespoke programmes has these five steps:
Step 0: You Choose Us
This is the ‘starting whistle’ for our work together. We agree the objectives, the timelines and the budget. Contracts containing dates and venues are in place.
We conduct 1-to-1 conversations with key stakeholders - for example, senior leaders, and a sample of participants. We also review your current strategy, OKRs & any data on culture or employee engagement so we understand as much as possible about your organisation.
Step 1: Discovery Phase
Step 2: Design Phase
We work up and agree with you the final design of the interventions - the content, the cadence and the modes we recommend. We also design and create the pre-work materials for the participants. We give them not only pre-reads, but also Teaching Videos which enable us to teach them some content before they arrive for the in-person sessions. This helps us make the best possible use of our in-person time.
This can only be finalised after Steps 1 + 2, but the majority of bespoke programmes include:
1. Key frameworks to help the participants navigate the content, and re-frame how they view their organisation and their own role within it.
2. Multi-module, in-person sessions to provide participants with (a) additional content; (b) the opportunity to plan and discuss how they’ll use the ideas and tools they’ve learned; and (c) the opportunity to network and share ideas with their colleagues, as well as with senior leaders within the organisation.
3. Virtual check-ins between Modules. These are opportunities for participants to celebrate and learn from what’s working well, and to receive additional help to fix what’s not working well enough yet.
Step 3: Delivery Phase
Step 4: AARs and Further Support
We have regular after-action reviews with clients to make sure that the programme objectives are being met. We also remain at your disposal, and will likely have ongoing conversations about any further interventions or support that might be needed - for example, support for the Senior Leadership Team, or help clarifying or refreshing the organisation’s strategy.
